Roads and transport infrastructure are the arteries of economic development. Without reliable road
connections, communities remain isolated, supply chains break down, and essential services cannot reach those
who need them most. SETAC’s Roads and Transport Engineering team has delivered asphalt and gravel road
projects across Somalia, South Sudan, and the wider East Africa region — in both urban and remote contexts,
including active conflict and post-conflict zones.
Our approach is comprehensive: we begin with rigorous topographic surveys and geotechnical investigations to
understand the ground conditions, then move into hydrological analysis and drainage design to ensure the road
will perform across all seasons. We prepare complete engineering designs, BOQs, and tender documents, and
provide professional construction supervision through to practical completion and handover.
