No infrastructure project is without environmental and social risk. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating those
risks is not just a donor requirement — it is an ethical obligation. SETAC’s dedicated Environmental and Social
specialists have conducted ESIAs, environmental audits, and ESMP preparation for projects ranging from flood
risk management in South Sudan to borehole drilling in Puntland — always ensuring that our work leaves
communities better off than it found them.
We work in close alignment with World Bank Environmental and Social Framework standards, UNICEF safeguard
requirements, and EU environmental guidelines. Our team has experience conducting stakeholder consultations
in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, preparing ESMPs with practical mitigation measures, and carrying
out third-party environmental monitoring throughout construction.
