East Africa is on the front line of the global climate crisis. Flooding is increasingly severe, droughts are more
prolonged, and communities that were once resilient are now acutely vulnerable. SETAC has positioned itself as
a specialist in flood risk engineering and climate resilience — combining hydrological expertise, infrastructure
design, and social safeguards to help governments, UN agencies, and communities adapt to a changing climate.
Our flagship engagement — a USD 2.2 million Regional Climate Resilience Programme for the Ministry of Water
and Irrigation in South Sudan — encompasses full feasibility studies, hydrological and hydraulic modelling,
detailed engineering design, environmental and social impact assessment, construction supervision, and
capacity building. It is the most complex and high-value single engagement in SETAC’s portfolio, and it
exemplifies what we bring to climate infrastructure.
